It is an IP68 certified water and dust resistance iPhone but such phones can survive in 6 meters of water for only 30 minutes after which they get damaged.

But this Apple device proved to be too strong.

According to a report by Apple Insider, on November 10, while cleaning the Stanislaus River, a man named Lee discovered an iPhone covered in moss among some rocks.

The man cleaned the iPhone and then waited for it to dry for a few days. On November 16, he charged the iPhone and it started working.

There was no pass code on the device, so checking its data, it was found that the last video it had taken was of the same river on September 4.

This indicates that the phone was at the bottom of the river for 3 months.

It is not yet clear how the iPhone survived after being in the river for 3 months.
