At least 14 Eurostar trains have been canceled after tunnels flooded in southern England, stranding large numbers of passengers traveling over Christmas and New Year.
According to French media, the tunnels near Ebbsfleet International Station in Kent were submerged due to flooding.
After which thousands of passengers are facing difficulties ahead of New Year due to cancellation of trains on Saturday.
Eurostar has apologized to passengers for the canceled trains, which run from Paris to London, Brussels and Amsterdam on the Ashford route.
It should be remembered that the Meteorological Department had warned about rain and snow in large parts of the country.
The French unions ended their strike before the floods disrupted it. Due to this strike, commuters going on Christmas holidays were suffering and freight trains were also not running.
