Yesterday, Christmas was celebrated around the world, from east to west, trees were decorated in every corner of the world, prayers were said for peace and security in churches, Santa distributed gifts to children.
But in the Gaza Strip of Palestine, even on Christmas Day, only moans and sobs were heard, children were seen screaming in blood.
The Israeli aggression did not stop even on Christmas Day, when a local camp was bombed, killing dozens of Palestinian people.
In such a situation, the Archbishop of Jerusalem gave an important message to the world.
"I would like to remind all the Christians all around the world, there is no point in celebrating Christmas if you do not pay attention to what is happening in Palestine as it is the birthplace of Christ and where Christianity originated and spread its message throughout the world.
The Nativity Grotto is in Bethlehem. The true light of Christmas emanated from Bethlehem. So we call upon all the churches of the world in the east and west, to urgently defend Palestine and the children of Palestine and the Palestinian cause.
Let our message this Christmas be to free Palestine and the Palestinian people."
