Channel 12 revealed that an Israeli soldier from the Paratrooper Brigade returning from Gaza fired after waking up from a nightmare and injuring his comrades.
Today, the Hebrew Channel said, a paratrooper who had taken a break from fighting at the Ashkelon village military resort, woke up in his room in panic, and opened fire in the room from his personal weapon.
A number of soldiers in the room were slightly injured by shrapnel. The soldier was transferred for treatment.
The army decided not to investigate the soldier who fired at this stage, given his state of health, and the investigation will be conducted when possible in accordance with the medical authorities.
